Finally

This post is something that i have been putting off all these days, telling myself that i am going to get around to it sometime. It has been lying in my drafts folder for more than a few months now. So today i decided to wipe the whole thing off and start over.

It looks like i have found something to write about. This last month I have been enjoying the holidays and a week ago this monday I started my second year of college. Everybody has not turned up and the classes have not started in earnest and i am here, finding some free time. I know, I know.. I had the time, but never felt like writing, this last month. I have a lazy streak in me.

Anyway, I have been watching quite a few movies and am going to write about them. First things first. How I watch a movie. I NEVER sit in front of the TV, not even for news, I get that from the newspaper. Dont ask me what real news is there in the media these days though. If my lecturer in journalism reads this, she is going to kill me. I am going to go ahead and hope she does not read this. So, I watch movies only when somebody recommends them and I get the CD or DVD.

Somehow I have never watched many movies on the spur of the moment and in theatres. I hear about a movie, see the review and talk to friends who have seen it and then decide and watch them, which doesnt mean that I have not gone to the theatres, I have, But thats only a fraction of the movies I have seen. Most have been on the CD or DVD and many during the time I had health problems and I was in the hospitals.

Now for some movies I saw recently ( I love lists, just like my cousin kailash ) **

01 Schindler's List (there goes the word again!)
02 Saving Private Ryan
03 Italian Job
04 A Walk to Remember
05 Step Up (1)
06 Defiance
07 Black Hawk Down
08 Hurt Locker
09 All The Presidents Men
10 Shattered Glass
11 Charulatha - The Lonely Wife (Sathyajit Ray)
12 Karthik Calling Karthik

**Conditions apply. The list is not in any particular order, And no inference is to be drawn or opinions formed based on the order (or the lack of it) I am not even saying that I liked those movies. A list is a list. Watch them at your own risk!
